Dr. Nicole Friedman is a consulting, clinical health and forensic psychologist licensed in California, New York, and Virginia. For over a decade she has been a consultant at Scripps Center for Executive Health implementing the mind-body and life quality assessment program. As a consultant, individually, and along with Operational Consulting International Inc., she works nationally and internationally. Her clientele includes entrepreneurs, C-level executives, athletes, senior management, internal legal counsel, law firms, individual and couples, and organizations within the media and entertainment industry.
Dr. Friedman also specializes in risk and threat assessment. She is retained as an expert to arrive at opinions with an emphasis on conflict resolution, criminal responsibility claims, harassment, and personal injury. Since 2012, Dr. Friedman has served on the Superior Court of California, San Diego County, expert witness panel.
In 2012, Dr. Friedman became the Chairwoman of Psychology at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, CA. She was re-elected in 2020 and is serving her fifth term as Chair. She has been an executive committee member since 2003.
Dr. Friedman completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a rotating member on various medical multi-disciplinary teams and completed over 300 hours of psychopharmacology education. She developed and implemented a psycho-educational cardiac rehabilitation program for both patients and rotating Fellows.
Dr. Friedman is also a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and the American Psychological Association (APA). She has been a student of yoga and meditation for over fifteen years and trained in the Jon-Kabat Zinn Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program.
As a psychologist, Dr. Friedman was honored and awarded a Nursing Star of Excellence recognizing her commitment, dedication, and selfless support to the medical nursing services.
She is currently working on her book Momentum that captures her signature process for a larger audience.
